I have been trying to fix this for a while now and I can't figure out how to get it to work.
The error I keep getting:
* What went wrong:
A problem occurred configuring root project '____'.
> Failed to notify project evaluation listener.
>org/eclipse/core/runtime/IAdaptable has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (55.0) this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0
I don't know how to fix this please help

Are you setting up a fresh workspace with a newly installed MCreator? What exactly are the steps to reproduce this error?
