Giving the player a status effect without it showing

I'm making a mod where when you go in the water you get night vision and can breathe underwater and can swim faster.

I want to know if it is possible to give the player night vision, water breathing and dolphin's grace without those effects showing in the inventory/hud? Or make those effects in procedures?
