Currently there is no easy alternative, if you want to make custom animations you would have to code and use complex math. We will just have to wait and see if a alternative is made or if Gecklib gets updated. There is also the APIs Reborn plugin but it doesn't currently support Mcreator 2021.2 and it would still need more coding than the original Geckolib plugin.
