I want to make books to put in loot tables

Hi! I'm incredibly new to minecraft modding and MCreator so I have no idea where to start with this, so I was wondering if people could give me some pointers.

Miner Lore <-- I basically want to make this mod but with my own books. It essentially has custom written lore books and generates them in loot chests so you just randomly find them. It's something I want to put into a modpack to expand the world I'm building.

I've looked into the mod file and found that the actual coding for the books is fairly easy to get my head around, but I have no idea where to start for making a mod myself.

Any help would be appreciated, even if its just pointing me in the direction of tutorial videos. Thanks!
