So I am making a mod for Minecraft and each time I go to make an amour piece that's custom modeled with Blockbench I keep getting an outer layer on my stuff, Does anyone know
how to fix it?

This doesn't work in vanilla use GeckoLib API, that allows you to make Armor that has not the Shape of the Head like yours. The only issue is you need to code it manually if you use GeckoLib API because currently there is no Procedures for GeckoLib to make modders easier to use.
