When I try to make a new 1.16.5, It just doesn't change the version to 1.16.5, even when I click to it. Can somebody help me to fix this problem.

When I try to make a new 1.16.5, It just doesn't change the version to 1.16.5, even when I click to it. Can somebody help me to fix this problem.
When you create a mod (workspace), press a pen next to "Minecraft version (generator)" . Next click "Selected generator" and find "Minecraft Forge for 1.16.5" and then click ok. Now it should make a mod for Forge 1.16.5.
