Block similar to skyblock minion

So basically what I want to do is make a block that has a GUI that, while the block is placed, will gradually fill up with items, sort of like a minion from Skyblock.

I've made a start with a block that has a GUI that is opened when right-clicked, but I couldn't find a way to make it all work with a procedure.

Any help?
