How do I create a placeable item?

well first you would need to make a actual copper wire placeable block (You can create custom model and texture for it with block bench) Then you would make a procedure in the item with the (Right Click Block Position) 

in the procedure make it so when it is clicked it places the wire block at x, y+1, z and remove 1 of the wire item
