I've been trying to fix this for ages.
I have followed all the guidelines for trees to spawn in my custom biome
- I've added the dirt tag to the biomes grass block and made the material grass
- I made the underground block tagged with the dirt tag
- 5 Trees per chunk
Mushrooms wont spawn on my custom grass block either. the custom biome is in a nether type dimension which is also custom.
I have no idea what to do ive tried everything.
it doesn't work for me too so i use structures (build your tree and make it a structure)
@someone69 I have tried to do this but i want lots of these trees per chunk so it wont work.
Can you send a screenshot of your biomes settings and show how you are setting the dirt tag?

Lmk if you need anything else. I also just added the nylium tags to the blocks but it didnt work.
I swapped the world gen type to overworld and now all of a sudden it works, the thing is i dont want overworld world gen. its something to do with the nether world gen type.
You're tags are incorrect. You should have "dirt" in the first field and "forge" or "minecraft" in the second.

Try both and see if either works.
@Octava_ well i knew it would be something simple but not that bad bruh. ill see if it works
@Octave_ nup it dont work
@Octave_ or anybody can you send me a screenshot of how the tags should look?
"dirt", "minecraft", "block". For fields 1, 2, and 3 (don't put in the quotations ofc)
@Octave_
I believe I'm doing it correct, so now I'm thinking its an issue with mcreator itself, or maybe some random config or tag that I don't know that I can add to the block.
I will recreate what you want to achieve and see if that is doable. I can get back in an hour or two.
so no custom trees just normal vanilla trees....
If you haven't found a solution yet or if anyone else needs this info, to fix this just go to the block's 'advanced properties' and check the box that says 'Can plants sustain on this block'. Works for all dimension types/block types.
