I can't find anything on how to add a tick delay to structures

for a few days now I have had no idea how to add a delay to structure generation, I have looked everywhere and I can't find anything on what I am trying to have fixed. I know I need to add a delay of some sort because my structure is getting cut off in new chunks. I need help.
