Mcreator freezes on opening workspace

Every time I try and open a workspace in Mcreator it just freezes and I have to force quit. I'm unsure what's causing it and could use some help. if error logs are required, I'll find those, but I just have images. (my cursor also becomes that spinning wheel that appears when somethings broken but it doesn't show on the clip).
