Is it possible to make Subcommands/subarguments?

I want to add a subcommand to the /item command where you can tab the new argument besides the existing one of the /item.

There a two subarguments for the existing item command:

• modify
• replacy

But I want to add a third option that you can choose from with tab pressing.
