Custom Block Model Issues (1.18.2, 2022)

Hi, I have just recently started making my mod, and I made a custom model using Blockbench. Exporting it and importing it as a .java or .obj doesn't work at all; I use 2022.2, and I also want to make it rotatable (U/D/N/S/E/W) and maybe connect as well. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, as I have textures and everything.

I suggest that you watch a blockbench tutorial before modeling.

When I export for Entities, everything works fine. It's for Java Blocks and Items that it does not seem to work. I've watched tutorials prior and am following them to a T; the model does not load in game and neither does its texture, only showing as the 'missing' item, a default block with the pink and black checkerboard.

I need help with this still, so I'm bumping this. Exporting the model as a .json from Blockbench isn't working, and the item I apply it to just shows as the checkerboard of missing texture, regardless of the texture applied. I do not know what is wrong, as I am using the Mojmap 1.18 form as well.
