If you are using AMD drivers and have noticed an issue, specifically one stating the dll atio6axx.dll, then this guide is for you. This will tell you how to downgrade your driver to 22.5.2
1. Go to the drive where your windows is located. If you only have one drive, then it is located in that drive. If you have multiple drives, it is almost always the C: drive, unless you have had good reason to change it.
2. Go to (changing C: to the appropriate drive letter where necessary) C:/AMD/AMD_Software_Installer_22.5.2/. If you do not have this folder, you can go to the amd website and search for it there, looking for an older version (preferrably 22.5.2can it be later?, though earlier can also work)
3a. If you already have this folder, run Setup.exe located inside. A screen (similar to this, but with your version number) should show. Run through the downgrade, and make sure to do a full install.is this required?
3b. If you do not have this folder, then you should run the exe given. This shouldverify? give you a screen similar to setup.exeagain, verify?
You may be asked to restart your computer at the end. If it asks you to restart, you should do so, to make sure the downgrade goes through.
working image link, since the one in 3a doesnt work
Thank you so much, this has saved me from several more hours of frustration and failure
Yes this is still an issue, its to do with java. If you are unsure if you have this issue (since it is less clear), see if in console you see the below:
If you do, then this is your issue.
the latest AMD update works for me.
Is there any way to NOT change ur driver or anything from ur pc to make it run or smth? I really don't wanna downgrade my driver.
By the way I use AMD Ryzen 3300 Vegas 8, if you're wondering
it says i dont have permission to open the setup.exe
"windows cannot acces the specified device, path or file you may not have the appropiate permissions to acces the item" is what it says even i do have permissions
