Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
I'm very new to MCreator and I want to make a mod with a block that I think is far beyond my skill level but I have an idea of how to do it.
The block I'm trying to make is like the WebDisplay mod for 1.12 but much simpler to work with. I want to make the block draw textures from an mp4 file and to emit sound but I'm not sure how to make it play videos as textures. I plan to have it have a UI similar to the command block UI, is this possible?

For clarity I believe all I need to know is how web displays shows video files as a texture and how it scales with the size of the screen I think tutorials can handle everything else.
