@hecker if you have problems with inserting images correctly pls check this Tutorial.
just put at the end of the link a .png and it working.
Also for your Issue What exactly do you use for your Armor Model. Do you use GeckoLib Armor Model, Curios Armor Model or the standard armor Model?
I used an entity model from blockbench.
