MCreator stops responding when I add only 2 textures to a block

MCreator keeps not responding every time I add a second texture to a block, and also shows the little beach ball cursor. What is wrong with it?

I am using macOS Monterey on an Intel MacBook Air Early 2015, and I use MCreator 2022.3.

If it doesn't have a fix, would that mean Apache NetBeans 17 is the only way to make mods for me until it gets fixed?

I am confused on why it is doing that.
