Sending power help

I've been trying to make a cable for the past 5 hours, when i place one cable with the facing blockstate that is up, nothing really happens, when i stack up cables like 3 or 4 it starts generating power and not extracting and sending when there's a power source. And on the last one it doesnt generate or send anything.
