Moving Platform Blocks (Elevators)

I am kind of new to MCreator, but I haven't found anything regarding elevator mods tutorials to help me try and create a sort of thing like this. I have had experience in coding netbeans java, but that was back in high school. I have recently been trying to make 2 blocks, one with a interactive GUI to command the other block to move, push and stick to any certain blocks and move in any direction with a set movement of 5 blocks each time. Kind of like a fly piston combined with a slime block, but way better. Does anyone have any ways of doing this, and I would gladly accept any ideas of yours.
