Topic category: Troubleshooting, bugs, and solutions
I am currently on MCreator version 2023.1.10610
No matter what I do, MCreator's Blockly Editor is always slow! It's not when there are too many code blocks or anything like that; the frame in which Blockly is in is laggy.
Keep in mind that means MCreator as a whole isn't laggy; my cursor moves at normal speed, and CPU usage is also normal, it's just everything that's in the subwindow of Blockly.
For example, when I move a code block, the block will take about 2 seconds to update its position to the cursor's position (yes, I timed it). However, this applies to anything within Blockly's frame, as I stated before. When I enter the menu to select code blocks of any category, the same effect is present; it takes 2 seconds for the menu to open after I press it.
I have a pretty decent PC; I'm certain the issue doesn't derive from poor computer specs. Please, if anyone has found a solution to this problem, tell me how to implement it. It's almost unusable; the slowness has gotten very irritating. (Not that the 2 second delay has increased, it's just gotten annoying)
Thank you for reading.
What OS / platform / architecture / specs do you have?
Try restarting your computer. I have run into a similar problem, but restarting my computer has helped a lot.
I've been having a similar issue and posted a topic about it a few days ago. Tried whatever I could think of: restarting my computer, configuring mcreator in nvidia control panel, configuring blockly editor. Nothing helped.
