Image buttons not showing up (2023.1 1.16.5)

hey im pretty new to Mcreator but still know a decent amount on how to use everything(procedures, variables etc.) but for some reason no matter what i do i can't get image buttons to show up in my gui. regular buttons and images work but its just the new image buttons that don't.

any help would be appreciated
