I've looked around YouTube from official tutorials to community tutorials, unfortunately I couldn't find the help I was looking for.
I am trying to add pages to my storage item. I have a backpack item you carry in your hand, you right-click and the GUI opens. This goes for all levels of the backpacks. However for the final tier I would like to make it more user-friendly and have pages instead of increasing the GUI to an undesirable state.
What I have now is the final tier backpack with the same GUI as the second to last tier, then I duplicated it and added a button. A button linked to a procedure that goes to the second page. Unfortunately in-game, I open the backpack and I go to the second page and first page just fine, but items do not stay unless I reopen the backpack with right-clicking.
I would also like to note I'm very new to modding Minecraft. Any additional information you need to help me, feel free to ask.
