I'm adding alligators to my mod (Swampex) and I thought about them dropping teeth and/or scutes. The thing is that I don't know what these could be used for, I had a few ideas but not enough. If anyone has an idea I would really appreciate hearing it

I think that the Scutes can be used for decorative blocks, a shield, a spike trap(also need teeth) or, because YES, frog armor.
Teeth could be used for weapons, a trap, new arrows, or new blocks.
Also, what will the mod include besides alligators
The mod is a Swamp expansion mod, so it will add a lot of stuff related to swamps and wetlands in general, it's on my profile if you wanna check it out, I'm currently working on an update for it
Something that I did in my Carboniferous Mod that I am working on with a similar item, teeth (I have ophiacodon and shark teeth in my mod), maybe you could create a recipe for enamel. Personally, I've used enamel in my mod as a way to make decorative glass and as an ingredient to make stronger materials. I don't mind if you also want to use this concept for your mod too. I love the textures so far btw, they are very well done!
Alligators have tough skin, the scutes could be used to make armor that's stronger than leather but weaker than chain. The teeth could be used for an assortment of various tools like hoes, axes, and a few different small melee weapons, both throwable and not throwable. On top of being used for tools, teeth are bones, so they could also be another source of bone meal.
Chomp Trap block- like a bear trap, but not (and also better). Basically, you step on it and it closes on you, doing a lot of damage.
