Warriors of Past Epoch - mod that adds themed armor sets with their own characteristics and fighting style, also adding new mobs and structures in relevant topics. The mod aims to provide variety in the choice of equipment and gameplay style in the mid-game. In addition to armor and weapons, the mod also adds various items related to a particular theme, complementing armor sets. All armor and weapons are created from new items and resources obtained in the mod.

It is recommended to use the mod together with Better Combat, which gives the weapon more features due to different types of attacks.

Mod created using MCreator.

Mod requires GeckoLib to work.

The mod adds many new resources and items necessary to create new weapons and armor, which you can find in the world or make from existing ones. The sets of armor and weapons themselves have their own characteristics and style of play. You get the greatest benefit from equipment when using a complete set from one category, but no one is stopping you from combining them however you want.

Forgotten Steel

A new type of ore that you can find in caves. It is generated at great depth at levels from 10 to -64 blocks. Requires at least an iron pickaxe to mine. Used in most crafting of new items.

Cistus

A new plant that you can meet in the world. It grows in plains, meadows and forests. Can be grown using bone meal. It is the main component in the creation of anti-plague serum.

Batwing

Vanilla bats will now drop one to two Batwings. This item can be eaten, but it will apply Morbidity to you. You can also make Bat Soup from it, which has good satiety, but also imposes Morbidity on you. But the more important use of this ingredient is in the creation of Morbidity Concentrate.

Moldy Cheese

Can be found in new structures from the mod as loot. You can eat it, or you can use it to tame a scavenger rat (and the rat itself follows the cheese much faster). You can also make a Stale Cheese Sandwich from it.

When you eat a sandwich, you will receive the Aura effect: Rat Power for 3 minutes. Under the influence of this effect, you will increase the strength, durability, and speed of all tamed rats around you.

Musketeer Armor

Light equipment for those who prefer to combine ranged and melee combat. Armor is made using Thickened Skin, Azure Fabric and Forgotten Metal. The level of protection is comparable to iron armor.

When wearing a full set of armor you receive the following bonuses:

  • Significantly reduces Musket reload time (from 5 seconds to 1,75 seconds)
  • Significantly reduces Pistol reload time (from 3,5 seconds to 1 seconds)
  • Increases the power of the Musketeer Rapier's piercing strike (increases bonus damage, knockback power and target slow duration)
  • Bayonet Knife causes a bleeding effect on the attacked target

Bayonet Knife

A melee weapon with low damage and high attack speed. When wearing a full set of Musketeer armor, it also applies a bleeding effect to the attacked target.

While under the effect of the Bleeding effect, the target will receive damage over time every 5 seconds. Damage equal to effect level.

Musketeer Rapier

A melee weapon with good attack speed and average damage. When performing a continuous successful series of three strikes with this weapon, the third strike is guaranteed to be a Piercing. A Piercing Strike at the moment of impact gives you strength, increasing the damage inflicted at this moment, also pushing away the enemy you hit, slowing him down slightly, at this moment you will receive a short increase in speed that will allow you to get closer again or move away back. When wearing a full set of Musketeer armor, it increases bonus damage, knockback power, as well as the duration of the slowdown and speed increase.

Musket

A powerful long-range weapon with a long reload time. Requires Musket Ammo to fire. After firing, it requires a long reload of up to 5 seconds, but when wearing a full set of Musketeer armor, it reduces the reload to 1.75 seconds. Takes up two hand slots if you play with the Better Combat mod.

Pistol

In many ways it is similar to a musket, but has less damage and projectile range, but also has a faster reload (3.5 seconds without a full set of Musketeer armor and 1 second with a full set of Musketeer armor). Requires Musket Ammo to fire.

Ammo Bag

Allows you to carry a large number of Musket Ammo, but you must remove the ammo from the bag to your inventory before firing.

Plague Doctor Armor Set

A light armor set for those who want to use plague as a weapon. Make your enemies suffer from a variety of diseases and periodic damage. To make armor you need Sterile Tissue, Thickened Skin, Forgotten Steel and also Cistus. Protection comparable to iron armor.

When wearing a full set of armor you will receive the following bonuses:

  • Grants immunity to poisoning and all effects of disease and plague
  • Significantly increases the duration of the effects of Plague Serums (from 3 minutes to 30 minutes)
  • Increases the strength and duration of Bleeding from Surgical Saw attacks
  • Enemies killed with the Surgical Saw will drop Crystal Blood (the higher the mob’s maximum health, the more crystal blood it will drop)
  • Increases your movement speed while holding the Doctor's Cane

Surgical Saw

Surgical Saw attacks cause Bleeding and Rough Wound effects on the target. When wearing a full set of Plague Doctor armor, the duration and strength of the effects are increased. Also, when wearing a full set of Plague Doctor, mobs killed with a Surgical Saw will drop Crystal Blood (the higher the maximum health of a mob, the more crystal blood will drop from it).

Rough Wound's effect enhances all plague and disease effects applied to the target.

Bleeding deals periodic damage every 5 seconds, damage equal to the effect level.

Doctor's Cane

Increases your movement speed while in hand while wearing a full set of Plague Doctor armor.

Plague and disease effects are new effects that you can apply to targets, each spreading to others, so use it carefully, and only under the influence of Disease Resistance or with a full set of Plague Doctor armor, so as not to die yourself.

Anti-plague Serum

A medicine created by brewing Cistus into a bottle of water using the Brewing Stand. When drunk, it gives you the effect of Disease Resistance, which protects you from all effects of plague and disease for 20 minutes. You can also make Plague Vaccine from Anti-plague Serum.

Plague Vaccine can be applied by pressing the right button on any mob or player to give it the Disease Resistance effect for 30 minutes, thus protecting any mob or player from disease and plague. The syringe does a little damage when used, but cannot kill, and is also consumed.

Morbidity Concentrate

Made by brewing Batwing or Rat Carcass into a bottle of water using the Brewing Stand. When used, grants you the Contagious Touch: Morbidity effect, which will apply the Morbidity effect to everyone you hit. Under the influence of this effect, the target will receive a Weakness effect, and if at the same time it is under the Rough Wound effect, it will also receive a movement speed slowdown. Every 5 seconds Morbidity spreads to all nearby mobs and players from the infected mob.

Plague Serum: Decay

Made by brewing Rotten Flesh in Morbidity Concentrate using a Brewing Stand. When used, grants Contagious Touch: Decay effect, under which your attacks will apply Plague: Decay to the target. Under the influence of the Plague: Decay effect, protective effects will be removed from the target and it will also receive periodic damage every 3 seconds, undead will receive more periodic damage, and the presence of the Rough Wound effect also increases the periodic damage dealt. The plague spreads to everyone nearby every 3 seconds.

Plague Serum: Pestilence

Made by brewing Nether Wart or Crystal Blood in Morbidity Concentrate using a Brewing Stand. When used, grants Contagious Touch: Pestilence effect, causing your attacks to apply Plague: Pestilence to the target. While affected by Plague: Pestilence, the target will lose any healing effects, and your attacks on the target will heal you, while if the target is affected by Rough Wound, you will be healed more. The plague spreads to nearby mobs and players every time an infected mob is attacked.

Plague Serum: Bacterial Splash

Made by brewing Slimeball or Pufferfish in Morbidity Concentrate using a Brewing Stand. When used, grants Contagious Touch: Bacterial Splash effect, causing your attacks to apply Plague: Bacterial Splash to the target. Under the effect of Plague: Bacterial Splash, the target will make an explosive splash every 7 seconds, causing damage to both the patient and everyone near him, dealing 2 points of damage for each effect of Plague and Disease applied to the target (from 2 to 10 points of damage), presence on the target Also, the Rough Wound effect will additionally increase the damage by 2 units. After the splash, the plague spread to everyone around who is not already sick with this plague.

Plague Serum: Black Death

Made by brewing Wither Rose or Wither Skeleton Skull in Morbidity Concentrate using a Brewing Stand. When used, grants Contagious Touch: Black Death effect, causing your attacks to apply Plague: Black Death to the target. This effect is the most dangerous. It deals periodic damage every two seconds, if the target also has the Rough Wound effect, the periodic damage will be scaled by the current health of the entity. But what makes it more dangerous is that it spreads over a large distance from the infected every 2 seconds, and unlike other types of plague, this effect will never end until the infected person dies or is cured of the disease. If you lose control in Plague: Black Death, it can kill everything in the area.

You will meet new mobs in the world; they can be either aggressive or neutral. Each mob is thematically tied to a particular set of armor. Meet enemies representing a bygone era or find new friends and pets.

Skeleton Musketeer

Aggressive undead that you can meet in any biome, as well as in Musketeers Fort. This skeleton is protected from sunlight and is also extremely dangerous due to its long firing range and high shot damage, however, after each shot the musketeer needs to reload, which takes 3 seconds, during which he is vulnerable. If his shots hit blocks such as Gunpowder Barrel or Dynamite, it will cause an instant explosion.

Upon death, drops: Bones, Azure Cloth, Gunpowder, Nugget of Forgotten Metal and very rarely a Musket.

Scavenger Rat

A neutral mob that appears in biomes such as plains, meadows, dark forest and taiga. There are from one to three individuals in a group. Has a rare AlbinoPurgatorius, and Undead variation. With its attacks, the rat causes the Morbidity effect on the target, and the rat itself is immune to the effects of plague and disease, however, it is capable of spreading diseases to everyone it attacks if it itself is under this effect.

A rat can be tamed as a scavenger using Rotten Flesh or Moldy Cheese (using Moldy Cheese will make the rat follow you much faster). A tamed rat will follow you and help in battles with mobs (note that the effect of the diseases it inflicts can transfer from the enemy to you, so use them as battle pets when you have Disease Resistance or wear a full set of Plague Doctor armor). You can order your pet to sit by right-clicking if you want to leave it at home. The Rat is an ideal pet for those who play through the Plague Doctor's armor set and the effects of the plague, due to its immunity to diseases and the ability to spread them to everyone they attack. You can also name the rat "Purge" or "Undead Boi" so that it takes on the appearance of one of its rare variations.

When killed, a rat drops a Rat Carcass, which can be used to create Morbidity Concentrate.

With this mod, structures will begin to be generated in your world, thematically referring to armor sets, in them you can find items from the mod, as well as new mobs.

Musketeer Fort

It is generated in plain biomes, contains a fairly large amount of loot, and is also a spawn point for Musketeer Skeletons, which makes this place dangerous, however, due to the prices of the loot received. The structure also contains many Gunpowder Barrels, which if hit by Skeleton Musketeers can cause an explosion making this place even more dangerous.

Plague Village

A long-forgotten village whose villagers were struck by an unknown disease. Generated in any taiga biomes. Always consists of random buildings and paths, and comes in different sizes. A village can consist of small, medium, large and ruined buildings, and sometimes there are churches, fountains, and wells. In the village itself you can find remnants of resources, many rats, and sometimes zombie villagers.

I really like this mod and the idea and wanted to help in building the mod. I am still new at mcreator but I wanted to help by editing your videos and generating thumbnails. You can contact me on discord under the name youwasted

It is a good mod; the armors "break" the vanilla style of the mod a bit, but they're fine. The textures look really vanilla styled, and so do the models, except a couple mixels. Of course, the ranged weapons don't really blend in with the minecraft style, but there's nothing to do about it, guns never look completely "minecrafty". I really like the effects, expecially the effect icons and the potion textures. One thing that's really good about this mod is the plague. It really is a nice addition to the game. The anti-plague serum, vaccine, all the related effects, and the plague village, really top it off. Good work!

The textures and models look great! Would you mind sharing any tips you have?

GG well done i thought i was gonna win but GG congrats anyway my time for modding is up and gonna find something new to do well good luck on making future mods
