            🪓 Survival Expansion

A mod that adds the features Mojang should’ve added years ago.

A Sculk Clawer carrying Survival Expansion's logo, with a confused Coloblaze.

                                        🌍 Overview

Survival Expansion redefines Minecraft’s survival mode with balanced, lore-friendly new content that deepens exploration and combat. Every mob, item, and mechanic is designed to feel like a natural evolution of vanilla Minecraft — the kind of additions that fit so well, you’ll wonder why they weren’t already in the game, and not reskins of mobs, but rather their own unique kind of mob.

I will NOT be allowing even the slightest modifications of this mod.

 🔮 MOBS & CREATURES

🟣 Coloblaze

A magical relative of the Blaze that inhabits dungeons.
The Coloblaze is a floating orange sphere with two cartoonish eyes, surrounded by three smaller orbs that shimmer with colorful lights. These orbiting spheres levitate through pure magic, making the Coloblaze look almost playful — until it attacks. While it doesn’t use magic, it fires fireballs that can ignite players briefly.

💀 Blizzard Zombie

Frozen zombies that roam the Ice Garden.
Blizzard Zombies are faster than standard zombies. Their icy bodies let them throw snowballs that sometimes freeze players they hit. Unlike most undead, they do not burn in daylight.

❄️ Glacier Slime

Created by Slime Machines found in icy biomes, Glacier Slimes are translucent blue creatures made of frozen gel. They don’t drop items, but they’ll pounce on players, dealing damage.

🩷 Gravity Slime

Spawned from Slime Machines found in the badlands, Gravity Slimes are pink creatures surrounded by a floating ring of dirt blocks. They don’t drop items either, but they’re also aggressive — constantly trying to leap at players.

🩷 Ender Slime

Spawning in the end's landscape, Ender Slimes have the ability to teleport, though once reduced to a small size, they mysteriously become drained of this power. Like other slimes, they do not drop items — but they are also aggressive, trying to pounce on players and golems.

🧽 Sponge Slime

Unlike other slimes, the Sponge Slime doesn't appear anywhere in your world, so it must be crafted. After crafting this little helper, it can be tamed with water buckets or seaweeds. You can revert it back into item form by right-clicking it. It is not just a cosmetic pet — as it can also soak up water. This can be handy if your base is flooded.

🌺 Crimsweed

A hostile, plant-like entity found in the Nether.
Crimsweeds behave like a hybrid between a flower and a predator — rooted in place but fully alive. It attacks players that attack it first. When defeated, it drops the Crimson Roots it was hiding in, which are the same as the ones that don't have Crimsweeds in them.

🌺 Lavocker

A hostile, scorching creature of magma.

Despite its friendly appearance, it will attack you, but it will only attack golems if provoked.

🌺 Flamospark

A living, breathing, embodiment of fire.

Like the other hostile mobs, it attacks players, and attacks golems without provocation. In the Soul Sand Valley, it has a soul fire cousin there.

🦠 Sculk Sludge

A creeping mass of living Sculk with 2 arms, 3 Sculk Eyes and 2 Warden tendrils found deep in the Deep Dark.
It will search for players to attack them. When defeated, it drops random Sculk blocks and many experience points, making it a renewable but risky source of Sculk material.

🕳️ Sculk Clawer

An aggressive Deep Dark predator resembling an egg-shaped mass of Sculk with claws and a single Sculk eye.
It will start flying once it has spawned, overlooking the area. When slain, it drops a single Sculk block and becomes a corpse which can be revived optionally, rewarding those brave enough to face it head-on.

🌳 Aspen

A gentle forest dweller that looks like a smaller, friendlier Creaking with a pale oak sapling on its head.
Aspen is nocturnal — active only at night — and becomes completely still and inactive during the day, blending into the environment like a statue. Hostile yet curious, they add a sense of quiet mystery to the Pale Garden.

👁️ Enderlooker

A stronger, more intimidating relative of the Enderman.
Besides Enderlookers having more health and being a bit taller than a normal Enderman, they are not much different from Endermen.

👁️Ender Wanderer

A shorter, weaker relative of the Enderman.

It is shorter than a normal Enderman, almost as tall as a player is. It is also weaker, having 20 health points, and 3 attack points.

👁️Enderelder

A taller, yellow eyed, and eared relative of the Enderman.

It is taller than an Enderman, and has ears and yellow eyes. When it goes through 60 seconds without killing something, it goes back into the ground, never to be seen again.

⚙️ SPECIAL ITEMS & SECRETS

💾 Glitch Fragment

A mysterious object of broken code and static. Rarely found after world disturbances, this fragment can summon corrupted “glitched” entities:

  • WIJVETHER – A glitched version of the Wither. It still works the same, as it shoots wither skulls.
  • WARDROxEN – A corrupted Warden who is weaker than its original.
  • ENDNIER DRAGONCg== – A glitched version of an Ender Dragon that has a shorter neck and tail than its original.

Each glitched mob can reward health boost or luck, but make sure to keep an eye for the effect that appears in the inventory if either effect is earned.

🗝️ SLIME MACHINES

These mysterious mechanical machines appear in various biomes and produce unique slimes:

  • Ice Machines → Glacier Slimes
  • Gravity Machines → Gravity Slimes

Deactivating a machine with its key stops its spawning, but who built them — and why — remains unknown. For some reason, the Ender Slimes seem to be the only slimes without a slime machine.

💎 NEW STRUCTURES, BIOMES & LOOT

  • Ice Garden: A frozen biome filled with Blizzard Zombies and Ice Cubes — decorative objects that contain other creatures (like creepers) trapped in ice. When broken, the imprisoned mob escapes.
  • End Loot Chests: Scattered through the End dimension, these rare chests hold valuable gear and fragments from beyond the void.

Changelog

v0.5: Demo release

v1 (The Survival Expansion + update): Added more content, all glitch fragment mobs reward effects, revamped and redesigned the Glacier Slime!

v1.5: Added the Gravity Slime and Coloblaze.

In the older versions, I accidentally created a persistent bug with the Aspen's mechanics that would make it become active in caves, but in v1.6, I fixed it by making it become active once the sun sets.

Since I am bad at making original ideas, I will tell you the inspirations behind some of the things that are inspired from something else:
Slimes and Slime Machines: A concept from Minecraft Bedrock Edition featuring machines that produce slimes.
Sculk Sludge: The Seek Sludge from DOORS Floor 2.
Sculk Eye: The Seek Eyes from DOORS.
Sculk Clawer: The Security Drones from Sonic Prime.
Cloud Boots: Sonic Prime.
Aspen: Creaking.
End Loot Chests: Loot chests from other video games.
Ice Garden: Press Garden Zone from Sonic Mania.
Flamospark: The phrase "embodiment of fire".
Coloblaze: The Tubinaut from Sonic Mania.

Does the creative give you actual creative mode? Wouldn't that be gamebreaking since you could just get yourself more of those glitch items?
