Heya.
=====================
Curios API Is Recommended, But Not Required!
=====================
This mod adds scythes to Minecraft, each doing something different! It also adds viles, which can be used to give scythes different effects (ONLY WORKS WITH CURIOS API).
Here are all the scythes currently in the mod:
- Iron Scythe
- Molten Scythe
- Igneous Scythe
- Frost Scythe
- Blizzard Scythe
- Overgrown Scythe
- Enchanter's Scythe
- Scythe Of The Seven Seas
- Scythe Of The Moonlight
- Nova Scythe
Here are all the viles currently in the mod:
- Vile Of Flames
- Vile Of Snow
- Vile Of Poison
- Ink Vile
- Healing Rain In A Vile
Here are weapons and other things I plan on adding:
- Shulker Scythe
- Withering Scythe
- Soul In A Vile
That's all I have, thanks for checking out my mod!
I did some testing and the soul system should still be working. In creative, I removed the requirements of souls, as it would be too repetitive to kill mobs just to get souls. In the other gamemmodes, the souls are consumed (I don't know if you tested them in creative or survival). I do like the idea of giving each scythe a different right-click, but this mod is supposed to be more combat related than farming related. I might change some things up a bit based on your suggestions though. This is my first mod I've released on Mcreator so I'm still learning. Thanks for letting me know how to improve my mod, I truly appreciate it!
These scythes look nice. However, mechanically they're not ready yet. The soul system doesn't work (I might be wrong but I think it should be like killing a mob and collecting its soul. If we kill several mobs and collect 5 or more souls we'll be able to perform a special attack with a right click). The concept is good but there's one problem. Special attacks don't consume souls. Syncing weapons with the soul system doesn't work. We can just spam. Using a special ability on a weapon should consume a soul. I also see one problem with your weapons they all have "shoots." They could be given other functions like boosting crop harvesting or increasing the meat you get for killing animals. There are many more possibilities. I haven't tested Ink because I didn't have the Curios API downloaded. A little work on the mechanics and attack ideas and it will be great.
