Ecosphere

What is Ecosphere?

Ecosphere is a Minecraft mod that doesnt add much or change much, but only adds a new mechanic: Pollution.

Pollution

This variable is the backbone of this whole mod. It has a different variable for each dimension and starts at 0. It can be changed many different ways.

For example:

Pollution goes up by:

Smelting Items (0.3)

Cutting player made logs(0.003)

Using campfires and torches(0.007 and 0.1 daily)

Placing pistons (0.1 daily)

Redstone blocks(0.2 daily)

Pollution goes down by:

Planting trees (0.01 daily)

Growing trees (0.3)

To read pollution you either get a pollution monitor or do /pollutionamount, to change it do /pollution <value>

Managment

Like I said before, to lower pollution you either plant trees or grow them, let me explain

If you plant saplings it will bring down the pollution daily but if you grow trees it brings down the pollution more, but only one time.

I recommend building a large platform of saplings with blocks on top

All of these saplings will bring down the pollution at once.

Buffs

When pollution is less than -30:

Clean air buff (haste and speed)

When pollution is less than -20:

Dead grass disappears

When pollution is 0:

Default

When pollution is more than 30:

Pollution sickness

(Mining fatigue and slowness)

When pollution is more than 45:

Apocalypse

The End of the World

When Pollution reaches 40, any grass, dirt and log in a 50x4x50 radius turns into dead grass, dead dirt and dead logs respectively

Once pollution reaches 45 the dead blocks start spreading themselves, creating an apocalyptic event.

So if you dont want an apocalypse, long story short, take care of the planet, in Minecraft and in real life
