Topic category: Help with MCreator software
whats up, i have a massive issue on hand,
i updated to version 2023.3 of mcreator a couple minutes ago cos ive been using an older version for my mod project before and thought it would be a good idea. i was horribly wrong though because now my entire mod is going mental. i am using the geckolib plugin for my mod so i have also updated that to make sure that its up to date with the new version aswell, though now i keep getting constant build errors with things that simply dont have anything wrong with them for whatever reason, its as if mcreator just wants to throw a tantrum, after further fiddling i saw that whenever i try to repair my workspace and then check my loaded plugins, the geckolib plugin simply switches it self to "no", seemingly the reason behind the build errors and the reason most things it picks as causing errors are geckolib blocks ive made. can someone please help me if possible? perhaps youve encountered this issue your self before and somehow resolved it, because this is my biggest and most ambitious mod and i really dont want it to just keel over and die in such a pitiful way.
thank you, below i will put a couple images of whats going on:
before trying to run/repair build:
after trying to run/repair build:
after further fiddling, the plugin now stays active when the error occurs, so i am even more confused as i was previously
bumping this again, its important.
The plugin version you are using (or the plugin itself) may not support the version you are using, resulting in plugin being disabled.
Make sure the version of MCreator and version of the plugin are compatible
ive already checked the plugin and its for the correct version of mcreator already, though the issue persists
I would need mcreator.log on some paste service such as pastebin linked here
Which Minecraft Version are you using?
im using version 2023.3 of mcreator (so 1.20.1), and the corresponding 2023.3 version of the geckolib plugin.
also @klemen do you need me to copy the contents of the console when it fails to build, or do you need me to locate a mcreator.log file, if so then you'd have to tell me how to access it cos im unsure where it is.
bumping this again so klemen replies
<user folder>/.mcreator
