I want to create a tree that has a unique leaf shape, and make it have a random height and shape, like vanilla trees. Plus, if that's possible with features instead of structures, or if I just gotta use oak, I'd like to know if there's a way to spawn a feature using a function to make a sapling.
You can use features to place custom NBT file with tree shape if built-in tree types don't suit you
