Whenever I Try And Sync It Says Commit On Repo Without Head

I really need help with this as it prevents me from syncing my work with my friend please help. The two messages are "Commit on repo without HEAD currently not supported" and "Cannot invoke "String.startsWith(String)"because "refName" is null". Please help me
