Non [a-z0-9_.-] character in namespace of location: Minecraft:sounds.json

I have no idea why this is happening. I know it's caused by invalid letters in a name but I have not added anything to sounds.json nor does that file even exist in src\main\resources\assets\mymodname. This happened when I pressed "Run client" for the first time.
