So when I put a hardness value on a block, it simply ignores my tool's efficiency value and the game acts as if I were breaking the block by hand. This apparently only happens with modded blocks, Minecraft blocks remain normal and break at the expected speed.
There was no other procedure messing with the mining speed last time i checked and i don't know what is actually causing this problem.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'd be extremely grateful with a response because my mod revolves around ores and making them unbreakable would ruin everything.
Edit: I reinstalled Mcreator and the issue got fixed for some blocks, but when i tried to create a new block from there, the problem occurred again.
so what did you set the blocks hardness value to?
King0fgourds here's an example, i set a custom ore's hardness value to 30, which is 20 points lower than vanilla Obsidian.
when i try to break the custom ore with a custom pickaxe, whose efficiency value is 54 and harvest level is 12, the mining speed becomes the same as the player hand for some reason. The same doesn't happen with obsidian, it breaks quickly and even faster when i enchant the pickaxe with efficiency V.
This is happening with all the modded blocks, even with a block with a hardness value of 1.
nvm i reinstalled mcreator and it got fixed, no more worries.
it didn't get fixed...
Did you ever figure this out cause im having the same problem but with every block including vanilla
Outdated geckolib plugin version does this
