Orbit Spell

I am currently trying to create a Minecraft mod with Spells. One of the spells I am having trouble with. As the title suggests, it’s an orbit spell. I’m trying to create a spell that has an “orb” that travels around the body of the player taking about 2 seconds per orbit and about 1.5 blocks away from the player. I was hoping someone could help me figure a way out on how to complete this. All feedback is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
