So I installed 2024.2, I had closed MCreator after testing something, and when I reopened it, it gave me an error saying it needed a JDK. So I installed the latest JDK and reinstalled the program but now it is giving me an error with installing the program, it says something about not being able to write to a file or something. I aborted it and it says on the installation window: Installation aborted, Setup was not completed successfully, then it says: Can't write: C:\Program Files\Pylo\MCreator\jdk\bin\extnet.dll.
Please help.

It's funny how I keep posting these forum topics and solving them myself. I solved this one just by restarting my computer!
i have the same problem, and I did the same thing that you did, and it doesn't work. Even when i downloaded latest Java, it still requires from me to download it
