How can i get my ants to go into their nest blocks?

I am working on a mod that adds insects of the Hymenoptera order( my favorite insect order). Basically all the insects in this order have similar traits. Ants, wasps, bees, tend to live in hives and have workers, drones, and queens.  I see that bees in minecraft can fly into their beehives and then fly out again. I would want my ants to do a similar thing. I also want them to attack any entity that attacks their nest and if the nest has a certain number of ants it has the possibility to expand to a nearby block. during the day I want a few of them to go  out and look for food depending on the type of ant. Carpenters ants would eat wood, leaf cutter ants would go out looking for leaves and army ants would just go around and eat any living entity they come across. I would like to have it where every 30 days  swarms will happen where 3 to 5 queen ants will fly with a drone to another location and have a 25% chance of founding a new colony.  I would want them to be neutral to players unless the player attacks them. In the future i would add hornets, paperwasps and yellow jackets which would go out and hunt other arthropods and produce paper in their hives. I would like it if frogs can eat them. Any idea of how to make mobs enter blocks like bees do.
