How to teleport players riding entities to another dimension?

I am trying to make spaceships wich enter space by flying just really high in the overworld. But when I teleport the player and the spaceship to my space  dimension the player isnt riding the spaceship anymore after the tp, so the player just falls into the void. Anyone knows how to fix this? ( teleport both the player and the spaceship without the player getting dismounted )  I would appreciate it a LOT if you helped me. plz
