explosion that knocks you back instead of launching you up

So im working on a mod that adds more mobs to the overworld and ther other dimensions im making a ravager but it only uses the roar attack i tried making an explosion when it attacks but instead of knocking the enemies back it launches them up could somebody help me with this? thanks for replying.
