Hello, i am Gus i am 24 and i am looking for people to mod minecraft with. I picked up quite a lot of skills these couple of years i have been working on this and i would like to finally make the mod of my dream and hopefully yours too.

Spell Related Mod Proggression

Here is my trello page if you want more info, it has most of the systems planned but the mobs and humanoid npc behaviors are not included.

Currently i have been working on visuals, i have made more than 100 particles for the spellcrafting system and around 30 projectile visuals. 

I am sitting at: 
Visuals (The main priority)
100% particles completed
40% Projectile assets completed
10% Impact visuals completed
 

Spellcrafting (2nd goal)
100% Spellgrief gamerule
100% Cantrips Designed
100% Spellcasting Key Function
100% Projectile Path Behavior
60% Fully Functional the rest are added but require me to make their procs 
20% Cantrip Effects Implemented
0% GUI for spellcrafting (100% design doc for it and free spell icons sourced)

Skills (3rd goal)
Only spellcrafting and spellcasting skill has been implemented alongside vampire skills that require a slight rework
Classes ( there is a design document don;t worry these are not hard classes but set of abilities you can learn)


Weapon Movesets  (4rth goal)
100% Weapon Tags
30% of Weapon Movesets designed (no animation)
0% Weapon player animations 
0% New Weapons

Mobs and Monsters (5th goal)
~80% of all Monsters, Elemental, Undead and Boss models made (~70 some have animations some need slight reworks and variants)
100% Design document for undead
10% NPC Behavior 
0% NPC Radiant quests
0% Main Story Events 
Note: In the mod there are all 4 elementals (torrents-water, tremors-earth, blazes-fire, breeze-wind) and are all tamable 
Also there is a tame system that allows you to tame non-tamable vanilla mobs which is 80% complete - i need to account for wardens and players                 on the same team.
Undead Rework is in the mod, zombies have a chance to spawn with custom modular skins but this feature will be recreated on a later date.
Undead have been given custom skills like quicker pick-up and the ability to use bows.
Lastly Phantoms have been reworked to be stunned when hit and also only spawn with bad omen (gamerule disables this)

Q&A

Question: How feasible are these goals?
Answer: Up until the 5th goal everything is well within my ability -and yours as well if you want to learn how to do it- but requires time. I am best at making systems and making procedures, art comes very hard for me.

Question: As a member will i have any creative freedom?
Answer: YES!!! You can interpret anything you are assigned to design however you like as long as the style fits the rest of the mod - visually. 

Question: Will i be credited?
Answer: Yes! I am not only going to credit you on the page but also add references to your player skin and name in the mod. You can also leave references to yourself and inside jokes in the mod in anyway you feel your work will be honored.

Question: This seems a lot. How can i help?
Answer: Yes it is a lot of work as a whole but if we share the burden the spellcrafting and mobs can be done in less than a year. Also you are free to take as much workload as you feel you can handle. Any amount of help is credited and appreciated. 
 

Question: This seems like a directionless mod, what is the goal?
Answer: This mod is a minecraft conversion to the point of Dawncraft or RLCraft. The real goal of this mod is to simulate a Daggerfall / Elin experience in minecraft but in a roguelike manner. 

Question: What would even be the gameplay loop?
Answer: This is a permadeath mod that allows you to reincarnate into a different character after death. Classes are just a set of skills so you can build your character the way you want it to play. To unlock classes and skills you have to find trainers or grimoires or perform rituals (summoning demons, creating Awakening Potions or eating Devil Forbidden Fruits). You have 40 level ups so be careful how you use it but even if you make a mistake you can try reincarnating since level ups are suppose to be quite easy to comeby. After generating your world a World Event is added spawning specific npcs to it and mobs. This serves as a backdrop for a main-story that can be resolved differently each time (but keep in mind due to the coding required for complex sequences of actions i am planning on resolving this by killing the big bad, breaking a block that causes it or other simple tasks like that). In addition to these events custom dungeons, humanoid villages and cities spawn that serve as bases for you to level up, get gear, make money and receive quests. You can even claim such places and make them your actual base, or create your own settlements that can be encountered again after your current life in the game. Previously claimed areas become claimed by NPCs when you die. So this is the loop Join -> Level Up -> Adventure -> Resolve Main Quest or don't it's your choice -> make a base -> die -> repeat. 

Question: Will it be vanilla balanced?
Answer: No. It has its own balance but it is not a huge difference from vanilla since weapons are scaled up to vanilla damages and spells can do at best 100 damage but with consequences.
