I need help with shears

Hi everyone! I'm new here. Recently I came up with idea to make a mod with some copper stuff. I want to make copper shears. When making new tool I chose 'shears' type but when testing in the game it didn't work. Shouldn't it be like a preset for tool? Like if I choose 'shears' it would work as regular shears? Or must I do everything myself? I'm using latest version (2025.3) and making a Fabric mod with corresponding addon. I didn't find any tutorials with shears and all tutorials I found were made for earlier MCreator versions.
