Efficient procedures.

I want to recreate the Furnace recipes to include a temperature aspect and I originally started with just making a custom furnace and adding a temperature and slider and stuff that isn't done but still wonder if there is a way to just add the temperature system directly to the normal recipes? If there isn't a simple easy way what is the most efficient?
