Trying to make a block similar to a glow lichen

Hello, I have a problem with trying to make some sort of carpet block be able to be placed on the floor, the wall, and the ceiling, all on a 1x1 block area. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Kind of like a block similar to either a glow lichen or a item frame.
