my mod has been destroyed

I'm on the latest version of Mcreator by the way.

 

I have been working on a mod for the past few months, originally it was called Bobs Weapons and Warriors, but as I delved deeper into developement, I realized I was adding a lot more than weapons and warriors. Flash forward a few days I wanted to rename my mod QuestCraft. Unfortunatly, after renaming my mod, and mcreator "rebuilding" the code of the features, when I ran the build to test some new features of mine, I was greeted with a completely broken mod. here is a list of each problem:

Any of my custom structures that contained modded blocks or mobs were wiped completely, only leaving vanilla features.

All my crafting recipes refused to load or work.

My mod logo would no longer appear.

It took much more time to run the project, as it repeatedly said it could not "load the id of my mod".

It even deleted any of my modded blocks I had placed in the world.

I'm very disapointed as my mod is now broken, and non functional, so I will be moving on and making a new project, and making sure NOT to rename it.

If you aren't happy with the name of your mod, I'm afraid you'll pay the price for changing it's name.

Do you use any plugins?

You can also send us your workspace so we can check what happened

If you only complain without providing useful info for us to be able tho see why and how to fix, things can't get fixed ;)

Hello! 

I'm rather new to the Mcreator website, so I wasn't expecting a moderator to answer :D

I dont use any plugins, I just use Neoforge, and honestly, I'm not sure if I have any backups or not, how would I be able to check?

Thank you for taking the time to answer, I'm not sure if there's hope for my missing structures, as the NBT files have been altered, but I would really apreciate some help!

For the how and why of what happened, I just wanted to rename my mod, and thats when It glitched out.

My suspicion is that when rebuilding the code, Structures and Entity's struggle to be properly renamed, causing the id to be different than the current name of the mod.

Not sure if thats useful but hopefully it helps!

DUDE, that sucks! I remember I accidentally upgraded the game version for the mod and I lost so much things! I don't know how to fix it, but you can always still rename the file something different exporting and name the project something else when posting it.

That happened to me once, just revert back to the original name and that should fix it. It's the reason why my mod not enough game drops has the id of "minecraft_major_update" as that was the placeholder name before I came up with an actual name.

Something similar happened to me when changing a workspace name, and I went into the code and changed anything with the old name because the game wouldn't load otherwise.
