How to make trees and foliage unable to spawn in a structure

im trying to make a structure that has randomly generated strctures inside of it with jigsaw blocks. but they dont spawn, i believe the reason for this is because of foliage like grass, flowers and trees blocking the area. is there a way i can remove all of that inside the structure
