First of all, there was one post I saw about this problem or at least it could have been related, where they were applying the levitating effect but nothing happened. The provided link for an answer to that forum did not work or was invalid.
My issue is that any potion effect I seem to put in an entity tick procedure applied to event/target entity does not work. For example: A boss fight I made that applied regeneration worked fine. I even switched from 1.20.1 forge to 1.21.1 neoforge and nothing changed. The problem only started about 1 day ago in relation to the start of this post. I didn't change anything accept changing one thing.
I changed a procedure from an 'If current health < max health / 4 apply regen 1 else apply regen 2' this permanently changed it so any entity I tried to apply any effect to, it wouldn't work.
The second example is when I made phase 2 of the same boss (just before typing this) have an attack that relies on if it has a specific potion effect. It did not work.
I made double triple sure it had nothing to do with the check box saying is entity immune to potion effects in case that would affect anything.
I really need answers so please.
