Howdy! I have a block that, on its tick update, I want to replace itself with another block, while also spawning a few mobs around it. I go the mob spawning to work perfectly, but instead of placing another block on its tick update, it just breaks. Do I have a monkey brain and the solution is obvious? am I tackling this wrong and need to rethink my lifes choices? Should I consider buying a new microwave? All these questions and more will be answered next time on:
A DOPE TRIES TO MOD MINECRAFT
but in all seriousness a solution would be nice, and I would love it if it wasn't something super hard and new for me to create, I just wanna know how I can place the block on the tick update :)
Seeya!
Replace block at x y z with custom_block
What are you using?
That's the issue, I AM using replace block at x y z, its just not working :/
are you by chance making a block thats spawns mobs and change to a block thats has the same texture but looks deactivated
HOW DID YOU KNOW LOL? Yeah that's exactly what I'm doing xD
use the "state property" tab, make a custom property that is logic and name it "activated", go to "block state" tab and make a new block state, check the "activated", save the change and place the texture on "block state parameter"
and in your procedure search the "set boolean property", change the string(the one with the green color), place it after it spawns the mobs and disable the mob spawning
something like this
this should change the texture of the block
