best modelers for entities

so I recently got MCreator and made a new ores, swords, armor, etc And I wanted to make a mob and a structure. So for mobs I tried to install techne nothing happened then I figured out that techne just doesn't work no matter what so then I tried mcskin3d and I liked it made my first mob and when i tested everything was in the wrong place and all the pixels were mushed together no matter what i tried it still wouldn't fix anything eventauly i gave up and went to structures so first I found mcedit 2.0 which appeared to be the reccomended software I tried it out and after watching videos and tutorials I still didn't know how to select or do anything really. Please help by either reccomending something, or explaining how to do something. Sorry for the bad spelling by the way.
