Setting Blocks/Items specific data value/IDs

I’ve been playing around with the coding section of Mcreator and I’ve been trying to set my items/blocks IDs to have them in order within my modded tabs. Does anyone know how to set specific ID’s? or is this a lost cause? Thank you in advance!
