Topic category: Help with MCreator software
basically i've been working on a mod and now i can't open said mod. i can open other mods and stuff. but this one won't open, i did check the files and the .mcreator files is still there. pls help
Workspaces can get corrupted if they are being written to while the computer crashes or MCreator is unexpectedly closed.
To restore your workspace, go to <workspace folder>/.mcreator/workspaceBackups/. In this folder, backups of the workspace file are stored. Pick a backup from a date before the crash and replace your <workspace folder>/<modid>.mcreator file with one of the backups. Make sure to rename the backup to the same name as the original workspace file.
i can't open the backup.i did change the file extension to .mcreator, the workspace isn't corrupted because when i went in and checked the mcreator file was still ther. when i try to open its just loading infinitly
This means it is corrupted. Use one of the backups that is from before this started to happen.
You cant use the latest backup because that backup will ALSO be corrupted, use the second most recent one and it SHOULD be fixed unless the problem is greater in scale than expected. I had this same problem recently as well.
