MCreator runs a "Gradle Task" everytime it has to compile a mod. I've always wondered what these are.

MCreator runs a "Gradle Task" everytime it has to compile a mod. I've always wondered what these are.
A gradle task is task that does things like compile the mod, run the client or export it.
But I tested it without internet. It said gradle tasks don't work without internet and yet, MCreator is still able to all three of those things even without internet.
