Mcreator says a committed change has been made but it hasn't

Well as in the title whenever I tried to commit a change on Mcreator it says it has committed but whenever I check github and with my friend it says it didn't commit. I have cloned the  remote workspace and there is also no changes. I followed the tutorials and still nothing commits. Is there anyway to fix this?
